Project engineering team, David Litherland, Shane Hubert, and Shawn Hagedorn talk about the importance of teamwork as they share the inside scoop on the work a project engineer performs at gray and ductile iron castings producer, Waupaca Foundry.
Professor Lon Cook shares his experience with project management in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. He relates several examples where project management played a critical role in driving a project to successful completion. Engineers are sometimes put into positions where they are managing people and resources. This presentation is an overview of scheduling using Gantt charts, strategies with under-performing team members, and reporting progress on the critical path.

Sarah is a Senior Project Engineer working at Siemens. She is currently working on construction for a sub-station in Birmingham. Listen to Sarah as she explains how she started working in the Power Sector and what opportunities are available.
Adele is a project engineer. She explains why it's a great career choice and describes the construction projects she has been part of that have changed the world around her. This video is produced by NAWIC Australia. National Association of Women in Construction.
Steven Chan is a 26 year old engineer who works for Tube Lines, a company which provides maintenance and repair services for trains and infrastructure on the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines of the London Underground network. Specifically, Steven is working on a project that is testing the different possible ways of cooling down Tube trains and stations, which can often become over heated. He explains how coolant systems are being piloted inside train stations and on platforms to lower the temperature and improve the commuter travel experience in London. How do you get someone to drive a vehicle who can't turn a steering wheel or push on the pedals? Engineers from Arrow Electronics and several other organizations worked together to solve this problem in less than nine months. Former IndyCar racer Sam Schmidt publicly demonstrated the never-before-seen technology - the Semi-Autonomous Motorcar (SAM) - during Indianapolis 500 week in 2014, becoming the first quadriplegic to drive a car using only head movements. This video takes you behind-the-scenes with the Arrow engineers who worked on the SAM Project. Hear what they have to say about this remarkable opportunity to use technology to change someone's life. Learn more about the SAM project and Sam Schmidt's inspiring story at http://www.arrowsamcar.com.

Visit http://icould.com/videos/chris-p/ for more careers info. Paul studied Aeronautical Engineering at Universtiy but there were no jobs in the aircraft industry when he came to look for a job. So he took time out to travel where he saw "the difference that engineering can make to people's lives". He has completed a postgraduate degree in Conservation and the Environment and, remembering a school trip to Wales when he was 17, "was hooked on the whole UK energy industry and just wanted to get in and be part of it".Full version at http://icould.com/videos/chris-p/?length=long
